美国今年假日季零售销售料强于去年

周四(9月21日)德勤(Deloitte Touche)公布的初步假日销售预估显示,美国今年零售商假日季节的销售大体将较去年强劲,受助于线上销售上升,以及劳动市场强劲带动消费力增长。

德勤表示,预期美国今年假期购物季节的销售将比去年增长4-4.5%。

德勤估计,在1.04-1.05万亿(兆)美元的总销售额当中,预计不到11%来自电子商务。

据全美零售商联合会(NRF)的数据,2016年美国电商销售额占零售总额的比重约为19%。

NRF在1月表示,去年假期销售增长4%至6583亿美元。NRF为一个由大型与小型零售商组成的行业组织。NRF尚未发布对今年假期销售的预估。

德勤资深美国分析师Daniel Bachman在声明中指出,个人可支配收入料将增加3.8-4.2%,高于上年的2%。

根据德勤,线上销售料将增长18-21%,至1,110-1,140亿美元,RetailNext则预期将跳升14.9%。

塔吉特(Target)等大型零售商在本假日季将雇佣数以千计员工,以加强销售部门的客户服务。

然而,沃尔玛(Wal-Mart)周三(9月20日)表示,连续第二年不会在假日季节聘请临时雇员,但现有员工将会加班因应。

德勤提出警告,政府债务上限危机的威胁或储蓄率增加,可能抑制消费者支出。
