标准普尔500指数下跌0.4%，至2,629.57点，电信、工业和公用事业股均落后。该指数自去年8月以来首次连续三天下跌。
信息技术板块上涨0.2%，是唯一上涨的板块。Facebook、Netflix和谷歌母公司Alphabet均收高。
道琼工业指数收低109.41点，收于24180.64点。
纳斯达克综合指数回吐稍早涨幅，下跌0.2%，至6762.21点。该指数也连续三天下跌。
科技股今年表现最佳，因投资者消化参议院议员通过的重大税改法案，该股在过去一周下滑约4%。
参议院在周末通过了一项关键法案，使共和党人更接近全面改革公司税制，大幅降低企业税。
与此同时，金融股在过去一周上涨逾3%。从理论上讲，拟议中的改革将有助于银行和金融机构，而不是科技公司，因其目前支付的税率更高。
投资者还展望了政府停摆的可能性。如果国会不能在本周结束前就政府开支达成协议，联邦政府可能会在达成协议之前关门。
