世界黄金协会首席市场策略师John Reade在最新公布的报告中表示，展望后市，有几个理由相信黄金价格能维持上涨的势头。收入增长可能是长期黄金需求的最重要驱动因素。
他预测，作为世界最大黄金市场，中国经济预计将在2018年取得不错的增长。印度经济正从2016年令人震惊的“废钞”措施中恢复，并在适应2017年出台的商品服务税。随着企业和消费者的逐步适应，去年的GDP增长放缓预计将得到减轻。
此外，John Reade还指出，货币政策将继续是黄金需求的重大驱动因素，因为很多人期待美联储明年进一步提高利率，并开始允许其资产负债表收缩。未来12个月内，可能看到欧洲央行的非常规货币政策行动放缓，甚至日本央行也可能收紧其量化宽松。
除了货币政策，John Reade认为另外两个因素对黄金市场也可能非常重要。第一是持续强劲或者说本已高昂的美国股市;第二则是美元的走势。
